This small turtle tattoo designed for Natascha has two frangipani
flowers in the center of the shell representing two children, with their
stems shaped like two people facing each other for the couple, to
symbolize the two parents being the support of their children.
Support always granted to the loved ones is also symbolized by the two
chasing birds on the right front flipper, while the sea shell on the
right back flipper represents love and intimacy, and the twist on the
left one is for eternity, always coming back together.
The fish hook on the left front flipper is for prosperity.
Both front flippers have two joined koru that represent one parent and one child, with a star in the middle to symbolize the importance of their union, the standing ground and safe place to return to (the frigate bird on top), while the dot between the couple and the children is there to mark the importance of this union.
