This Polynesian tattoo prepared for Jeff was designed as a family tattoo in a way that allows for the upper part to be inked independently.
We incorporated the turtle for family within the sun because of its
symbolism related to joy and positivity (the mountains in it are for
stability).
The turtle itself includes flax leaves and a Marquesan cross for harmony
and unity, the two tiki on the front flippers bring protection to the family
from all sides and the sea shells on the back flippers symbolize love
and intimacy.
The chasing birds in front of the turtle symbolize
support always granted to the loved ones while the star symbolizes its
importance.
Below the turtle, the manta represents beauty and freedom, with the couple symbol in it, a koru for their daughter, and three people above it for close relatives.
The lizard is a symbol of health and good luck protecting them all, fish are for prosperity, and the seven petals flower symbolizes someone dear to the gods.
