Fenghuang is the name of a mythological creature of East Asian cultures which can be associated to the phoenix of Greek traditions and which rules on all other birds. It´s a symbol of virtue and grace and its body is made of parts from various animals with a specific meaning associated to each one.
It´s also a symbol of balance like the yin yang; its head represents the sky, the eyes are for the sun and the back for the moon, its wings symbolize the wind and the legs earth; its tail represents the planets and the feathers include the five fundamental colours: white, black, red, blue and yellow.
