This Polynesian gecko tattoo was prepared for Rob and it includes a
rose as a reference to his family of origin, with family members next to
it.
They are all joined to the turtle representing his present family by
braid (family union) and the aniata motif (ancestors).
The turtle itself includes the couple on the shell, and their two sons
right below, together through any change (the waves on the front
flippers), with tiki hands for protection on the back flippers
and two more tiki on the back legs of the gecko.
The frigate and sun in front of the turtle symbolize higher perspective and positivity as the guiding direction.
Shark teeth in the tail were added for protection and adaptability, and spearheads for strength.
