grew and taught him (the stepping stones around him).
The row of flies represents his death and the spearheads that join both
symbolize passing the strength and courage to fight through every
challenge (the path of Kamehameha).
The adze and dot symbolize how important have been these acquired
skills.
The koru made of waves represents a change leading to a new beginning, while the row of birds represents this voyage, faced with adaptability and tenacity (the shark teeth and octopus tentacles).
The hammerhead shark again represents the warrior who protects his
family (represented by the turtle with flax leaves on the shell) with
tenacity and determination.
Within the turtle, the couple is surrounded by braids to represent union
and commitment, protected by two tiki on the front flippers and enclosed
within a big sun for eternity and joy.
The mountains on top symbolize the stability reached together, and fish are for prosperity.
