The Hamsa, also known as "hand of Fatima" by Muslims and "hand of Miriam" by Jewish, is represented by a hand with an eye in the middle of the palm and it´s an ancient talisman of protection against the "evil eye".
The word Hamsa derives from a semitic root meaning "five"; usually, it is held to represent the five pillars of Islam to Muslims and the five books of the Torah to the Jewish.
